MON RAPPORT D’ENTREE: After making a list of all the Artists I’m Working With (A.I.W.W.), I decided to post a bit of each of their work. The pieces I’ll be posting are from various projects, none of them yet published, and I’m trying to stick to pencils, unless the artist is doing both pencils and inks.

Next is Skottie Young.

Okay… I’m bending the rules here, because Skottie is only doing covers, not interiors, but the covers are for my upcoming work on Marvel Adventures: Spider-Man, and we’re going to be really shaking up not only that title, but the Adventures line in general. So I’m really excited by it all, and Skottie is, in a way, the “face” of that excitement. In other words… my game, my rules.

Unfortunately, at this point I’m only allowed to show one cover. Luckily, it’s a GREAT cover. Unluckily, it’s not the 2nd cover, which I consider to be even more extra great.

Skottie's energetic cover for Marvel Adventures: Spider-Man # 53. We're really kicking off a new era with this issue. Skottie will be doing cover. Matteo Lolli will be doing the pencilling and I'm reworking a lot of the feel of the book, and even beeeeeeeeeending the done-in-one rules, with a lot of contextual carryover from issue to issue.

And there's me in the middle (yes... I'm wearing a wig), wishing I could post the cover for # 54, and also regretting my lunch of nothing but corn chip and salsa. When will I learn?

Oh, wow. MA Spider-Man’s actually looking really good.

Thanks! We’re all very excited about the revamp of the book.

I don’t get to read it anymore…as my 5 year old nephew swipes it each month…and that’s the last I see of it!

My first issue is # 53, so by that time be sure to plan a defense against your nephew. I suggest studying Mongol tactics. And laser pigeons, of course.

    Smithers….release the flying monkeys……
