Listen up, yo. I’m an old dog, so I’m not much for the online comics, but life at Periscope Studio is teaching me a few new tricks, and I’m going to share what I’ve learned, yo. Also, I’m going to quit saying “yo” now, because I already deserved to be slapped.

Every time I say I should be slapped, this woman volunteers.

Ahem. Back on topic, here are three blogs that I like. Just click on any of the their photos and you will find yourself magically e-teleported to wonderful worlds.

This is "Dar" by Erika Moen. It's Not Exactly Safe For Work, and that's one of the reasons I cherish it so. Erika is about the most free-cartooning woman I've ever seen. For instance, if I was her husband I would have divorced her after she published this cartoon. Also, I would have changed my identity. Also, I love this comic. I've watched Erika's cartooning grow over the years, and she's really maturing as an artist, but she still allows her humor to be really immature, and the result is often naughty hilarity. Also, she recently put out a compilation book, so get one while you can.

And this is EmiTown, a daily journal /diary by Emi Lenox, who is currently our intern at Periscope, but who will soon be a Name Cartoonist. We're encouraging her to make many books and to keep having fun. She's all humble about it, but I personally believe that once she goes home, she stands in front of the mirror and says, "That's right, bitches! I got the GOODS!"

And this is "Family Man," by Dylan Meconis, who is a brilliant cartoonist, can speak (and sing opera) in fifty-three languages, could be a supermodel, is a master of telepathic yoga, and is probably an intergalactic rodeo queen. Before we go any further, no... I don't know what "telepathic yoga" is either. I was on a roll. Anyway... back to Dylan, her strength is in her characters, and her weaknesses don't exist. Like Erika, Dylan just put out a book (in this case of her earlier "Bite Me," material) and it is a great gift idea for all those who Love Freedom in This World. You love freedom, don't you?

And that’s it for now. There are a lot more that I like, but if I don’t get back to doing my own work, somebody’s going to slap me.

Yes.

Yes.
