So… we invited some girls over.

Yeah... so we decided our party was wretchedly boring, so we invited some girls over, and the girls totally all turned out to be MODELS, and we were all like, "Yeah!" and we had been drinking from a kegger (PBR! PBR!) and talking about the all time best football linebackers, but once the models were around we decided to switch over to drinking cocktails and talking about health care and the literary friendship between Ernest Hemingway and John Dos Passos, and I was drinking my second Manhattan when Millie, one of the models, said, "You're a writer? You should do a comic about us." And so I did.

I was absolutely lost in a post San Diego Comic Convention daze last week, and didn’t post my Marvel.com interview on Models Inc, definitely one of the books I’m most excited about writing.

Then, yesterday, reading through a pdf of the first issue (and relieved, in the way of all writers and/or other expectant mothers to discover that it turned out fine) I decided it was time to rectify my sloth-i-ness (hah! I’m a writer… it’s LEGAL for me to make new words) and give the models their due.

So just click on the model above, and the interview will magically replace the photo of the pretty girl... which is a bit of a shame, actually, as this model is Ai Tominaga, one of my favorite models, and a sort-of inspiration for Toni Turner, in the Models Inc. series.

Looking forward to finally getting to read this. Any chance of a buying incentive..like a free date with Miss Tominaga with each purchase!

Man, words cannot express how much I am looking forward to this.

Hey… great idea, Chris! I’m giving that incentive plan the go-ahead. From now on, whenever anyone buys a copy of Models Inc., I get a date with Ai Tominaga.

Thanks! I myself am really looking forward to finally seeing it in the shops!

Wow…..both Ai and the cover of Ms. Storm are gorgeous!

Yeah… I’m really looking forward to this finally being out. We’re giving away thousands of copies at Fashion Week in NYC, too, so this pretty much assures me of holding the title of, “Writer of the comic read by more models than any other comic.” I assume there will be a parade of models involved with this award.

Really? That sounds awesome! Will they just be giving them away at boutiques and such?
And the covers really are wonderful. Does the artist (sorry, I can’t remember how to spell his name!) use photo reference when he does them?

I’m not really sure exactly how they’re going to be giving them away. I’ve never actually attended Fashion Week, so I’m not sure of what avenues (giving them away at the door?) they’ll be using. Not sure if any reference is used on the covers…. they just pop into my mailbox all fully realized, and I say, “Oh. Damn! That’s cool!”
